Future Career

June 14th, 2014 at 05:41 am

Right now I am in college and I am 100% sure that I want to go into finance, but I don't exactly know if my plan is reasonable or just the best option to go. I originally wanted to become a Financial Advisor because I love figuring out the best place to put your money. Also, I have been watching Suze Orman ever since I was 13 years old. I love her!
For my career, like I am sure anybody else, I want to make as much money as I can. So I figured instead of starting off as an advisor, I would become a Financial Analyst. I changed my mind because I don't want to work off of commission right out of college, and I figured if I became an Analyst first, I could earn some credentials and have a background in the stock market. I want to make sure that I can give the best possible advice to clients with their money as I can.
I love money, and I love making money, but only honest money. I would never want to advise someone to do something that is wrong.

Does anyone have any suggestions of other careers in finance?

Is anyone in the field? If you are I would absolutely love to hear any advice/comments about the field! I love to learn!

Or has anyone had an appointment with an advisor? Was it a good experience? Or do you have any comments about it?

Hello everyone!

My main reason for starting this blog is just to add to the community and share the knowledge I have with others. I am a very genuine person, so I will always keep it real! I am obviously not an expert when it comes to money, but I have a firm grasp and quite a bit of experience with it. Right now, I am a full time student at a University near my hometown.
One thing I cannot stand is judgement when it comes to learning. When it comes to gaining knowledge, it can come from anyone anywhere. You don't need to be 50 with a PHD to teach someone something. Keeping an open mind to all possibilities is how extraordinary things happen.
